Our popular weekly article series, Building Up Jax, is posted each Saturday and recaps development news from around the city. Other features include the Seven Bridges series chronicling the bridges that define our city’s skyline and infrastructure, First Coast Flashback, #JAXLISTS, and more.

The Coastal was founded in late 2015 by Jacksonville resident and writer Nathan Woods, with the goal of giving a voice to Jacksonville’s younger generation. The magazine launched on December 1, 2015, and has grown steadily since then.
