LATEST FROM ST. JOHNS TOWN CENTER

Kendra Scott Jewelers is coming to the St. Johns Town Center, and will renovate a storefront near Urban Outfitters toward the more upscale end of the mall.

Meanwhile, across Town Center Parkway at The Strand, Bonchon received a permit for build-out.

And speaking of The Strand, Brazilian steakhouse Fogo de Chao has announced that they’ll be opening in the center on Monday, November 13.

NOTED PROJECTS

  • Local comic shops Superhero Hive and Superhero Beach have been acquired by Orlando-based Coliseum of Comics, and will now join that chain.
  • Jimmy Hula’s was issued a permit for build-out at 9711 Applecross Rd. at Oakleaf Town Center.
  • Just a couple of weeks after demolition permits were issued for the Wendy’s at 3910 University Blvd. W., another set of permits was approved this week for the construction of a brand-new Wendy’s in the same spot.
  • Checkers plans to open soon at 7214 103rd St. The property has served as home to a Chinese restaurant and a soul food restaurant within the past ten years.
